Saturday-Pentacle – Week 27 – 2018
“Saturday-Pentacle”
A shocking fact I learned recently – It’s about Google Photos App/Service from Google. I use this cloud based photo service everyday to share my photos with family and friends assuming that the photos which we stare with certain people are completely private. But I learned very recently that It’s not the case, any photo which you share as an album are created with a public link, if someone has that public link, they can see you pictures without any login or authorisation in Google without you giving them access. It’s scary and it’s something which broke my trust in some ways with Google. I discussed this matter on Google’s Photos related forums online but I was amazed to see many people didn’t know this and were shocked too. But Google is not doing anything about it right now, probably because it is not there priority right now. I think it should be their first priority to fix privacy of their proprietary software/app. Just imagine a hacker searching the Public URLs of our Google Photos app somehow finds one actual link and is able to access our photos without us knowing. That will be a nightmare.
I’m searching for an alternative to this app right now and I couldn’t find any as of yet. But hopefully Google fixes it, otherwise we all will have to eventually remove our photos from Google’s cloud servers and delete this app.
My most popular Instagram post recently —
It was a grey day rather evening should I say.

My body was drained out of the juice and I wanted to sit somewhere immediately.

That was when I heard a scratching sound……Click the photo below to read the entire story.
Article I’m pondering on —
Why You Need a “Deloading” Phase in Life – This article from Tim Ferriss is like having a detox Tea after a long day, when you sip it and it relieves the stress of the day. The same way this article can help and inspire you to create a deloading schedule for yourself to reduce your stress and manage your life in a better way. A good read.
What I’m listening to —
Guided Meditation by Tara Brach – This meditation from Tara Brach is so relaxing and it actually helps you release the tightness in your body and mind both.
Quote I’m pondering on lately –
“Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.”
