A podcast (not mine) I am loving —

New Perceptions by Ben Brown – I’m following Ben Brown from past 3+ years on YouTube as he is one of the initial day Vloggers on YouTube. Even before Casey Neistat (who shot up to fame with his Vlogs). But Ben’s journey has been really different than Casey. Ben is kind of a creative who is really conscious about what work he puts out and where he needs to stop. After his successful time on YouTube, he kind of struggled with uploading daily videos and that’s when all hell broke loose. People started calling him out for not putting out daily videos. That’s when he really struggled, then last year he got into a motorcycle accident and broke his elbow. That’s when he got some downtime, he could finally stop and reflect on everything going on around him. He unfriended many so-called friends, even got out of a relationship which was not working, got away from being a YouTuber. When this podcast came out a while ago I immediately subscribed to it as I respect his work and his creative process. You should go and check out this podcast, it’s not a very structured one, but if you are a creative and like to listen to stories of other creatives and their process. This is a good one. Don’t get annoyed for the low volume levels in initial episodes, as he was trying podcasting for the first time and I can relate to it as it’s a good amount of work to put out a podcast. A Movie I Loved —

Gully Boy – Last weekend I watched this amazing movie directed by ace bollywood director Zoya Akhtar (who is also credited with Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara). It’s mainly the story of the ghetto hip-hop and Rap scene in Mumbai. How the protagist (played by Ranveer Singh) finds his passion and pursues it against all odds and how the universe comes together to make everything fall in place. (not everything exactly). Many super awesome desi Rap songs in this movie.

Here is the trailer of the movie –

Quote I’m pondering on lately –

“Give yourself permission to slow down. You can speed up by slowing down.”
