Episode 11 – Monica Chopra (The Eco Trunk) – Living an ethical Lifestyle, contributing towards a sustainable planet and bootstrapping an online store! – In this episode I’m talking to Monica Chopra, who is an entrepreneur and has built up a company named The Eco Trunk which curates eco-friendly products on their online store, to help people live a conscious lifestyle of Veganism. She herself is a Vegan and cares a lot about the environment and the carbon footprint.

In this conversation, we talk a wide variety of things starting from her own story. Leaving a high paying career to finally go forward to her calling and building up The Eco Trunk from scratch. How our environment is getting worse and what measures we can take as individuals to reduce our carbon footprints. We also talk about challenges she faced as a young entrepreneur and go In detail about the issues like pain points of the modern online stores like package delivery system and sustaining the company.

An audiobook I loved and recommend —

Sapiens – A Brief history of humankind – This book changed my world view. It literally taught my history of us humans. A great timeline of billions of years described in hours. But this is not just a history book, it contains a perspective about our existence. How empires grew, how they fell, how the current humans evolved from many human tribes.

Narration from Derek Perkins is amazing. I loved the book and I think every human being should read it.

If you want to read this book for free. Audible gives a book free for my readers. You can go here and start your free trial. In case you love it, keep going or cancel anytime.

A movie I loved –

Superbad – This is not an intellectually stimulating movie. It is funny and a little out of the lines. But this great to watch. Jonah Hill nailed it in many sequences of this movie. It’s a college drama about two friends trying to get alcohol for one of the boy’s crush’s house party. So much happens in between them getting to the alcohol. There is a character in the movie you wanna watch out for – McLovin. Plus Seth Rogen as a police officer. Damn!

Here is a trailer –

Quote I’m pondering on lately –

The originality of an idea depends on the obscurity of sources.
